What a garment shop deals with every day
And how Billing Babu helps with each.
The festival and wedding rush
A queue at the counter needs bills in seconds. Items and rates are saved once, so a bill is a few taps or a barcode scan per piece.
Hundreds of designs
Scan the barcode a brand or supplier has put on a garment, and that item comes onto the bill with its rate and GST.
Knowing what to reorder
Stock goes down with every sale and up with every purchase, and low-stock items show up before your best sellers run out.
Returns and credit buyers
Take a return against the original bill. If you also sell to boutiques and retailers, every unpaid bill sits in their ledger with days overdue.
A Saturday in a garment shop
It is the week before Diwali. A family buys two kurtas, a saree and a set of kids' wear. At the counter you scan each piece's barcode or type a few letters of the name; the rate and GST rate come from your item list. The family wants the bill on WhatsApp for the exchange, so you share the PDF before they leave.
Garments are taxed at different GST rates depending on their price, so give each item the rate that applies to it. Each line keeps its own rate, and the bill works out CGST and SGST, or IGST for a buyer in another state.
Two days later the saree comes back for an exchange. You record a sales return against the original bill, and the saree goes back into stock. In the afternoon a boutique owner picks up twenty pieces on credit; the bill goes into her ledger and you take part payment by UPI.
When your supplier's new lot arrives, you record the purchase bill with its GST and stock goes up. On Professional and Enterprise, photograph the bill and let the app read the items. At closing, Home shows the day's sales, the month's purchases and expenses, and which items are running low.
Printing at the counter
On the website and in a phone browser you can print A4, A5 or 80mm thermal bills, with your logo and signature. The Android and iPhone apps make A4 bills, which you can print or share.
